Happy Thursday, friends! It’s been rainy in Chicago, but it’s hard to complain when it’s nearly 20 degrees warmer than last week. I’m hoping that 50 and raining will turn into 50 and sunny soon – mainly because I’m getting a little tired of my winter uniform.

Also because I’m excited to break out my new spring clothes. And nothing screams spring quite like eyelet. Since this Gap eyelet top is long sleeve, I’ve already worn it a few times with jeans. Once it warms up a bit, I think it will look really cute with jean shorts or a jean skirt. {Yes, those are back in style.} So, in an effort to will spring into existence – check out these 9 eyelet pieces for spring that are sure to make you believe it’s actually sunny and 65. This outfit – and most of these pieces would also be perfect for Easter weekend or a spring baby shower.
P.S. If it’s actually sunny and anything warmer than 50 wherever you are – I’m jealous.

Why I love these 9 eyelet pieces for spring
Row 1
Gap Eyelet Embroidery Cami: : I love and hate the days when I work at home. Love because I never change out of my pajamas, and hate for the same reason. For that reason – and others, because I’m a total dork – I love to sleep in matching sleep sets. Even if I stay in my PJs all day, I still feel slightly pulled together.
Superga Classic Sneakers: While these aren’t technically eyelet, they also technically are. Did you know the little holes on gym shoes are called eyelets? Neither did I, but I do know that these rainbow eyelets are exceptionally cute! They also have a very cute rose gold pair. Supergas are my favorites. If you’re looking to try out the sneaker trend but don’t know where to start, this is a good place!
Circle Eyelet Flounce Top: This top would look just as good with white jeans as it would be jean shorts. And considering the fact that Loft is almost always 40% off these days, I can’t think of a reason not to buy it.
Row 2
Eyelet Flutter-Hem Dress: The details of this dress are GORGEOUS. Eyelet everything. And I love a long-sleeve dress. It works for chilly days now, but also for cooler days in the spring and summer whether you’re on a boat or at the office. {For the record, I’m never on a boat, but I feel like I would wear this if I was.}
Scalloped-Yoke Eyelet Shift Dress: When the weather warms up, I love simple outfits that are easy to wear. One of my favorite combinations is a shift dress, a jean jacket and gym shoes. Classic, easy to dress up or down and comfortable – the outfit trifecta, in my book.
Eyelet Lattice Top: This color is so happy and fun, and just screams spring. I also love almost everything that Madewell makes. You can, always guarantee quality, which is something I appreciate more as I get older. This would be perfect with white jeans and nude sandals for Easter or brunch!
Row 3
Eyelet Ruffle Wrap Skirt: This skirt makes me wish I knew how to salsa dance. It would look so cute with an off-the-shoulder top and heels for a night out. But also with a white blouse and a simple black block heel for the office.
Skinny Ankle Pant with eyelet Embroidery: My work wear includes more skirts and dresses than pants, because I think it makes getting dressed in the morning easier and more fun. BUT these pants might have changed my mind. It’s rare to find pants that make a bold statement, while still being work appropriate and not too funky, but I think these do just that. Wear with a white button down and black block heels in the office and a white tee and red heels on the weekend.
Gap Eyelet Pajama Pants: Back to the PJs thing. You can’t have a sleeping set without a matching top. I love this pattern and the delicate-eyelet detail. Gap’s mix-and-match PJs are my favorite, and they are such good quality for the price. They are pretty much always 100% cotton, and you can buy each piece for less than $30.
Happy shopping!
