I’ve been in the holiday spirit since November 1, but snow just makes it that much better. And, it’s snowed twice in Chicago this week! And while that gets me even MORE in holiday spirit, it was also a major reminder for me.

Christmas is in 11 days, and I basically haven’t started Christmas shopping yet. And although it’s easy to keep track of the obvious people I need to buy for {mom, dad, brothers, etc.}, every year, there’s a list of new people that I add to the nice list. Yay, new friends! Boo, lack of budget to buy said gifts. Buttt, the beautiful thing about the holidays is: it’s about more than the gifts. So no, you don’t need a budget of a million dollars to buy the latest-greatest gifts. Instead, buy each person on your list something that you know they will love – something meaningful or funny, or perfectly unique to them – even if it costs you, I don’t know, less than $25? A few of my favorite gifts under $25

Decanter // Obviously, I’m a big fan of gold. So, naturally I love this decanter. I think it would look so pretty on a table filled with red wine! It’s a perfect gift for a hostess in your life, but also the wino in your friend group {if you don’t know who that is, it’s you – no shame}.

Plaid blanket scarf // You can never go wrong with a scarf. This one from J.Crew Factory is big enough to double as a blanket, but also makes a pretty shawl over a turtleneck or chunky sweater. It’s the perfect gift for your coworker who is always cold, or any lady who lives in a cold climate {read: Chicago}!

Lip stick set // I’ve always been a big fan of Clinique lipstick. To this day, one of my favorite shades is from a free gift I got like five years ago {A Different Grape}. And because I got it for free once, I really hate spending ~$20 on a replacement. While it’s not including in this set, five full-sized lipsticks for less than $25 is a deal too good to pass up. You could give the entire set to one person or split them up for five of your girlfriends.

Pom-tastic slippers // One word to describe these slippers? Versatile! And now, I bet you’re thinking – how? Well, these poms snap on with a button! So, buy them with the “attached” pink poms, and then buy different color options / textures to swap them out. Because who doesn’t love when their slippers match their PJs!? Especially when each additional pom is only $1!

Gold opal necklace // I met Landon of Landen Lacey right after I published this post. Her jewelry is delicate and simple and SO pretty. It’s real jewelry, with real gemstones that’s not going to turn your skin that nasty-fake-jewelry green. Bonus: I went through her entire site, and I think I found one piece that costed more than $75 dollars {and, of course, it was worth it}. Plus, female-owned business based in Chicago!!!
