It’s official! We made it through the first full week of 2018. Which means we made it through our first Monday without a hangover of the New Year, too. (No judging if you had a Sunday Funday, though.) This week, I tried to “be good,” which means I packed a healthy lunch every day and FINALLY joined a gym.
The holidays are in full swing, friends! I have a few gift guides in the works, but today, I’m sharing one that I think will be very popular among the ladies and gentlemen. Whenever I ask someone who they need help shopping for, nine times out of 10 I hear, “my dad, brother, boyfriend, husband, whoever!” Seriously, guys are hard to buy for.
We all have that friend that hibernates as soon as the temperature dips below 40 degrees. Heck, we might be that friend. You know, the person who would much rather curl up on the couch with a good book or a marathon of Netflix binging than venture out into the cold. So, what do you buy them this holiday season? Check out my top gifts for the homebody to find out.
Happy Monday, friends! It was a weekend unlike most for me. With the exception of a little shopping, I was make-up free, binging Gilmore Girls and asleep on the couch before 10:30 p.m. on a Saturday night. Butttt, not before I shut down a Michael’s craft store. Basically, I spent 48 hours as an 80-year-old lady, and even though it was great for a weekend, I’ll always be that gal who lives for a good night out on the town.
TGIF, gals! Is it just me, or did this week last forever? Short days and long weeks seem to be a recurring theme around here, so I’m hoping to enjoy some down time tonight. If you’re looking for me, you can find me on the couch, catching up on Scandal with a glass of wine and my laptop in hand, because I’m shopping the Rebecca Minkoff Sample Sale.
After a long day at work, there are few things better than a girls’ night out. As soon as 5 p.m. rolls around, the question comes up – where to? And for some reason, I always seem to overlook places in the Loop, instead, choosing bars and restaurants in River North or Lincoln Park. But as a blue line rider, these neighborhoods can be a little inconvenient when it comes time to head home.
It’s that time of year when Chicago starts teasing us with fall-like weather. After a week of sixty-something temps, I’m having a hard time believing that it’s going to be 80 this weekend! I’m not complaining about having the chance to wear a few of my summer favorites again, but give me one little taste of fall and allllll I can think about are fall clothes. Specifically, the most stylish fall jackets to shop this season under $100.
Every year, I seem to get wrapped up in the same cycle. Buy a summer dress, wear it for a couple months and pack it away until the warmer temps make their way back to Chicago. Which usually means pack it up and remember you have it / unpack it at the end of August, and only get one wear out of it the next summer. There’s nothing worse! So, instead of packing up those dresses that you had to have, how about using a few of my favorite style tips to take your summer dress from June to October?
