If you put fruit in a cocktail does it cancel out the alcohol and suddenly make it good for you? No? I didn’t think so, but worth a try. Either way, the backyard bartender is back with a drink recipe that might just become my go-to summer cocktail. Yes, I say that about every drink I make, but this one practically screams summer. My mom is super crafty, and growing up, we were always doing art projects or diy-ing something. Tie-dye shirts, and multi-colored ribbon scrunches as kids, sip and paint outings as adults – you name it. Luckily, I inherited her crafty nature. Happy second day of spring, gals! While the calendars may say spring, this Chicago weather is more like, “nah, not today”. And unfortunately, I am completely over all of my winter clothes. This makes getting dressed in the morning more of a chore than I’d like – especially when it comes to casual Friday.
It’s official! We made it through the first full week of 2018. Which means we made it through our first Monday without a hangover of the New Year, too. (No judging if you had a Sunday Funday, though.) This week, I tried to “be good,” which means I packed a healthy lunch every day and FINALLY joined a gym.
